I am fascinated with the knowledge transfer process– particularly as it relates to the teaching and learning of Economics. I believe that all individuals are capable of grasping general economic concepts that can help them to make better decisions in their everyday lives. I love investigating the details and patterns associated with the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ inherent in decision-making at the public and corporate levels.

To this end, I have worked in Debt Management, Treasury, and Accounting for the City of Detroit for over 18 years. My newest professional role as Affiliate Faculty — Economics at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI will allow me to teach courses, interact with the local business community and assist with the development of the University and the Economics Department while beginning to develop a research profile. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Madonna University, Marygrove College and Oakland Community College in metro Detroit. To prepare myself to help others, I have earned an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of Detroit Mercy and an M.A. in Economics from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI with a concentration in Labor and Human Resources Economics.

Specialties: Economic Analysis, Investment Portfolio Analysis, Account Reconciliation.
